I find joy in capturing the quiet, simple beauty found in the nooks and crannies of the majestic Heber Valley and the surrounding mountains. Many of my images are shot in the beautifully bucolic North Fields of Heber. I inevitably end up next to a horse whenever I find myself shooting there and I always feel my spirit has been rewarded and my soul enriched for doing so.

My aim is for my pictures to be a visual exhale, to capture what is uncomplicated, in a complicated world. I strive to share the supreme light affecting simple subject matter.

My career began as an illustrator, which explains the soft, organic, graphite like quality of my images. In fact, I don't even like to call myself a photographer, I truly feel that a painter with a camera is a more accurate assessment and more appropriate because I shoot all of my own reference images for my paintings.

I enjoy shooting in the cloud layer that often sits on the valley floor in the early morning hours. The thin smoky veil it creates transforms the valley into a magical place with its soft curtains of diffused light. Shooting in Utah’s beautiful snowfall is another way I'm able to create a feeling of peacefulness and solitude in my pictures.

The best compliment I've been paid is that my images offer up a feeling of reverence. As far as I'm concerned, that's as good as it gets.

Mt. Timpinogas is the backdrop in the beautiful Heber Valley.

Kevin Kehoe is a native New Englander who has made Utah’s Heber Valley his full-time home after living in Boston, Providence, Seattle, San Francisco, and New York. Having spent his career as a Creative Director, Art Director and Writer in the advertising world, he now finds joy shooting images of the simple beauty found in the nooks and crannies of the majestic Heber Valley. When the snow flies he often has to decide between painting, shooting, or skiing, which he describes as the world's greatest problem. He, his wife Julie, their daughter Kate, and Ranger, their black lab, live in a log home overlooking the valley they love.
